Common Ground Volunteers is humbled to receive a donation of $1,000 from Quest for the Best, a 501(c)3 based in Wayne, PA as part of their 10 Year anniversary. Quest for the Best supports organizations working to help others in their communities.

Common Ground Volunteers (CGV) is also a 501(c)3 that is entirely volunteer run that takes on jobs in the Spring City, Phoenixville, Pottstown area. We partner with social service agencies, non-profits, and individuals with a pool of volunteers to accomplish a task and we volunteer at community events. Over the years, CGV has done litter patrols, beautification projects, participated in Phoenixville Pridefest, helped with the Firebird Festival, meal deliveries for Anne’s Heart, and helped with removal of damaged home contents after Hurricane Ida in 2021. We are a grassroots organization with volunteers from all over Chester and Montgomery counties. We pride ourselves on doing the jobs other groups don’t want to do and placing the needs of those we help at the forefront of each job. While we are not professional contractors, jobs needing an enthusiastic group of folks and some strong backs and arms, we can really make a difference in people’s lives and in a community in an afternoon.

CGV is funded by occasional grants, donations from volunteers, corporate matching and from wonderful donations from groups like Quest for the Best. These funds can purchase consumables used on jobs like personal protective equipment (gloves and goggles), tool purchases that facilitate home demolition, and allow us to sponsor community training events.
